Hot Air Balloons and Mustaches - Is This Heaven?
It’s been a busy few weeks and I think Anna and I are looking forward to a few days of rest and relaxation in the Southwest.
We’re heading to Albuquerque on Thursday to visit my friend Dan and his wife Chrystal.
Years ago, Dan mailed me a big round sticker for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and said I should come see it someday.
I said I would and now I’m glad to make good on my word. I’m also happy I get to bring along my wife. She’s never been down to that part of the country and I hope she likes it.
I’ve been to Albuquerque once before and really enjoyed it. If you ever make it there yourself, I recommend you take the Sandia Peak Tramway. The ride up and view at the top are amazing!
I’ll have my camera in tow to take a lot of photos, and hopefully we’ll fulfill Anna’s life goal of riding in a hot air balloon.
Speaking of life goals, I’m finally pursuing my dream of growing a mustache.
It’s for a good cause, Mustaches vs. Cancer, so Anna’s given me the go-ahead. Drop a few pennies in my jar.

Your father-in-law is (or at least used to be…I’ve seen some of those photos from the 70s) a formidable mustache grower. I think there should be a family challenge going on here!
