Lot’s of FUN with Lot’s of Visitors!! (Part II)

Top of the Rock 2 And now for part two. I only hope that this blog doesn’t fall in line with most every sequel ever made (do you get the idea?) No? How about now?

It has now been two weekends since our last guests, my good friends, Dan and Alan, came to visit. They came over Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. It was only a few days trip, but we packed a lot of stuff into the very short time. So get ready for a long post.

Grad School Begins

This past week marked the beginning of my graduate school career. I am not sure what that means just yet, and thats a little frightening and exciting. As a graduate social work student I will have two days of classes and three days of field placement, where I will actually be in a social work setting doing social work things. I don’t know how I am supposed to know what these social work things are as that is what I am going to school for, but I guess we will see.

On Top of the World…Well, Almost

Terrace in the Sky So I no longer have to pay an extra daily fee to rent a car. That’s like Corolla cool baby.

What else happened on my 25th birthday? Anna and I put on makeup, dolled ourselves up and went to Terrace in the Sky near Columbia thanks to a generous gift certificate from my best man Bill. I’ll just say it. My wife looked pretty hot. She’s a 10. I’m not sure how hot I was. I’m probably pulling down a solid 6 or 7 right now.

The Park, Dinner and a Movie

Tree TunnelOn Saturday Anna and I explored the northern side of Central Park. There’s a number of cool trails and ponds to see. The highlight was certainly the Conservatory Garden at Fifth Avenue and 105th St. There are a ton of cool fountains and flowers to admire.

On our way home, we walked through Morningside Park, which was extremely busy with birthday parties and families grilling out. There’s a also a pond in Morningside that is absolutely chock full of turtles.
